stand up, say something you know
they might attack you for.
dont just stand, still, in the row…
they have never enough, always want more.
how can it be just a normal day
when bullets are flying throught the town?
yet that’s the ordinary way –
nobody seems to see we’re going down.
Some people are free, many are trapped –
The oil, wars, overpopulation and CO2,
Big people talk about all sorts of crap,
Yet how do you know what’s true?
You shouldn’t keep still anymore,
just far too much is at stake!
Take the red pill, open the door –
Show others all that’s fake;
cos you alone can’t change the world,
by yourself you couldn’t do it!
doesn’t anybody see all the hurt?
Show them, make them give a shit.
Yet the random smile at a stranger,
the warm clothes and the bread,
the last-second help in danger
that people sometimes get –
there’s still some hope around.
You just have to stand up, say what you need to say,
no matter how stupid you sound.
